Step through historic stone gates at the intersection of Jane Street and Baby Point Road and immediately experience the old style neighbourhood of Baby Point/Olde Millside. Both border the Humber River, a river recently designated as Canada's heritage river.

Baby Point sits on a peninsula of land - or a 'point' that overlooks the Humber River literally surrounded by parkland and ravines. Historic Millside (Old Mill) runs along the river's bank, adjacent to the beautiful Etienne Brule Park.

The first thing to know about Baby Point is to pronounce it "Bah be Point" (named after an early inhabitant James Baby). Its larger Tudor style homes, built in the 1920s and 30s, back onto valley, smaller homes are closer to the entrance. Old Millside homes combine two storey and bungalows, many meandering up and down tree-lined streets. Look closely. Some streets have their original cobble stone details.

Where else in one day can you enjoy your neighbourhood, play golf, enjoy a picnic, and shop in boutiques along Bloor West or Kingsway Village! Etienne Brule features 4 tennis courts, and an extensive paved cycling and walking trail along the river. Looking for a great place to run? Start at the Old Mill parking lot, through Etienne Brule Park and up the South Humber Trail.

The historic Old Mill Inn is a romantic getaway for tea, dining and dancing, or jazz at the Home Smith Bar. Nearby Lambton House holds various events including an annual carol singing, historic lectures and community pub nights.
